AUSTRALIAN PRODUCT RECALL

Youngoz 3-in-1 Cot

Published 30 September 2018

Product

3-in-1 cot that converts to a toddler bed and a daybed

Why it was recalled

The product does not comply with the mandatory standard 'Trade Practices Act 1974. Consumer Protection Notice No. 6 of 2005 Consumer Product Safety Standard: Children's Household Cots'. The product is not compliant with the standard because of missing information on the cot base and in the instructions of the cot end assembly and has non-compliant gaps between the mattress base side rail and the vertical slats of the cot sides.

Hazard

The gaps between the base side rail and vertical slats can create an entrapment hazard. Missing information in the instruction manual may lead to incorrect construction of the cot and create a risk of a fall, injuring the infant.
