A stud on the upper shift arm of the engine may corrode when the engine is used in saltwater. This may affect the shift system and cause it to fail, resulting in a loss of shift function.
Generation 2 DTS Helm Control (updated)
The controller may malfunction and cause the engine to go into ‘limp mode’ and it will not allow for any gears to be changed, and engine power will be limited.

The light component can separate from the shoe and liberate small parts including the button battery.
