Why it was recalled
A stud on the upper shift arm of the engine may corrode when the engine is used in saltwater. This may affect the shift system and cause it to fail, resulting in a loss of shift function.
Hazard
Risk of serious injury or death from a collision if there is a loss of shift function from the engine.
