Repetitive bending stress during operation of the vehicles may cause the thin plate seat belt stay to fracture and it may not satisfy the strength required for the seat belt to hold secure the vehicle operator or passenger.
The product can be refuelled when flames are still present, or when it is still hot from use. The product is also lightweight and easily knocked over.

The Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module on a number of vehicles may activate a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). This is due to external stimulus which disables the ORC ability to sense vehicle rollover events.
Some of the switches have been found to not work correctly (intermittently).
The 2014 Sportsman 570 models were manufactured with a fuel tank vent line ending in the headlight pod. This may result in liquid fuel exiting the vent line.
The lining contains a quantity of benzidine which could have carcinogenic properties if in prolonged contact with the skin.

Takata airbag inflator: As it gets older, a combination of heat and humidity can cause the airbag inflator propellant to degrade. If an affected vehicle is involved in a collision triggering the airbag, the metal inflator housing may explode/rupture under too much internal pressure.
