Canterbury Cot does not comply with the mandatory Australian standard AS/NZS 2172:2003. There were multiple failures but the most concerning breaches relate to the strength of the access fastening device, which could be inadvertently lowered making it possible for a child to open the side of the cot.

The recall of the above product is due to the potential presence of foreign matter (metal).
