Why it was recalled

The flange failed a low temperature fracture toughness test against the requirements of the ASTM A350 standard.

Hazard

If a brittle fracture occurs due to external stress whilst in use, fluid leakage may occur. It is noted, however, that the specific hazard is application-dependent.
