Why it was recalled
The Virginia Sleigh Cot does not comply with the mandatory Australian standard, AS/NZS 2172:2003 Cots for household use—safety and performance requirements. There were multiple failures related to non-compliance with the safety and performance requirements for the cots.
Hazard
The cot failed to comply with the various design, safety and performance and marking requirements of the mandatory standard. The product poses numerous risks, including the risks of suffocation and entrapment particularly, to vulnerable infants using this product.
