Sewn 8mm cord, either as prusiks loops, end termination for Aztek or Pocket Hauler kit systems, or custom length cord. Identifying features description Sterling Rope products display the production lot number in two places. The lot number is printed on the barcode label affixed to their Care, Use and Retirement document. The lot number is also printed on the shrink tube label on the sewn portion of the prusik. Please see the attached table for affected lot numbers.
Why it was recalled
The bound loop prusiks may not conform to Sterling Rope quality standards and may break at a lower load than the published values.
Hazard
If the bound loops break at a lower load than they are rated for, this could cause failure to the system and result in a potential fall hazard.
