Why it was recalled
The product does not include a warning label specifying that the maximum safe temperature limit is 90°C. The teapot may crack, break or otherwise fail when filled with hot liquid.
Hazard
Risk of serious burn injuries and laceration from sharp edges if the teapot cracks or breaks. Incidents of the teapot cracking during use have occurred, with one reported burn injury.
