The extended recall features an additional style, the Bistro Tile mug (black tile) , which was not included in the original recall. Bistro Tile mug (black tile) with batch code number AW 2013 on the base. This mug was sold from January 2013 to April 2013. Bistro Ribbon mug (blue stripes) with batch code number 1669885 on the base. This mug was sold from December 2011 to March 2012. Set of Four Bistro Kente mugs (tangello/red) with batch code number SS 2012 on the base. These sets were sold from November 2012 to January 2013. Identifying features description Bistro Tile mug (black tile) with batch code number AW 2013 on the base. Bistro Ribbon mug (blue stripes) with batch code number 1669885 on the base. Set of Four Bistro Kente mugs (tangello/red) with batch code number SS 2012 on the base.
Why it was recalled
There is a risk that in some cases the base may fall out of the mug while it is filled with hot liquid.
Hazard
If the base shears off from the mug while it is filled with hot liquid, scalding may result.
