Why it was recalled

The products do not comply with the 'Consumer Protection Notice No.13 of 2003 - Consumer product safety standard: Sunglasses and fashion spectacles.' The products do not have appropriate labelling identifying lens category, description or compliance information.

Hazard

Consumers need to be informed through labelling what level of protection the sunglasses provide. The incorrect level of protection can result in vision impairment or exposure to very high levels of sunlight.
