Why it was recalled
The shoes were sold without a warning that the right shoe contains a button battery that is sealed within a pod and embedded in the shoe.
Hazard
Consumers may be unaware that the right shoe contains a button battery that is sealed within a pod and embedded in the shoe. If young children gain access to button batteries and ingest them, they are likely to suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious injury or death. Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children.
