Thule Sprint car roof mounted bike carrier, mounts to car roof racks and is used for the transportation of one bicycle by removing the bicycle front wheel and securing this to the bike carrier. The bicycle rear wheel is secured used the wheel cradle and strap incorporated into the bike carrier. Why it was recalled
The clamping mechanism, which is intended to secure the bike fork to the carrier, may fail. This could lead to the bike not being properly secured to the bike carrier and the bike coming loose from the carrier during transport.
Hazard
If the clamping mechanism fails during use, this could lead to the bike not being properly secured to the bike carrier and the bike coming loose from the carrier, posing a hazard to the driver and other road users.
