Why it was recalled
The recall is due to an isolated event involving the egg cleaning process at a supplier egg grading facility, meaning some eggs may not have been cleaned to the usual required standard. This issue has been identified and rectified, but as a precaution certain eggs are being recalled.
Hazard
The shell of the eggs may be contaminated with faecal matter which may cause illness if consumed.
