Certain models of Bosch-branded dishwashers manufactured in Germany between 2000 and 2006 inclusively. Free-standing, self-heating dishwasher incorporating programmable electronic control with push-button selection and workbench surface top panel. 230/240 Vac, 50 Hz, 10A, 2.4 kW Catalogue No. S9 series range of dishwashers Identifying features description (a) Dishwashers assigned one of the following 20 model numbers may be affected: SGI4335AU; SGI4345AU; SGI4347AU; SGI43A25AU; SGI43A45AU; SGI43A55AU; SGI4705AU; SGI4715AU; SGI53A55AU; SGS4332AU; SGS4352AU; SGS43A92AU; SGS43B22AU; SGS43B42AU; SGS4702AU; SGS4712AU; SGS5332AU; SGS53A52AU; SRI43A05AU; and SRS5302AU. (b) Details of affected batch numbers: All batch numbers within the specified models are affected. (c) Approval number: The Certificate of Approval No. 10416 issued by the South Australian Office of the Technical Regulator covers the entire S9 range of dishwashers. All affected models of dishwasher are in the S9 range and have the same electronics and components.

Why it was recalled

Some affected model dishwashers may potentially develop cracks in the printed circuit board within their control module.

Hazard

Cracks in the circuit boards may lead to melting of solder material or, in an unlikely event, ignition of a fire in the dishwasher.
