Why it was recalled
This product does not comply with the mandatory standard for basketball rings and backboards. The affected products were supplied without the required warnings and installation instructions.
Hazard
Users are not aware of safety precautions and not strongly warned against fixing the ring or backboard to brickwork. There is a risk of serious injury or death to the user if the product is not installed correctly or if the user swings off the basketball ring.
