Liquid drain cleaner used in a domestic environment to unblock drains. This product contains 190g/L of Sodium Hydroxide and is a Schedule 6 Poison and a Dangerous Good Class 8 Corrosive. Attached recall notice has been revised - please see PRA 2014/14194 Identifying features description 714069
Why it was recalled
The Child Resistant Cap may be faulty in contravention of the mandatory requirements for a Schedule 6 Poison and a Dangerous Good Class 8 Corrosive.
Hazard
If the bottle tips over or is dropped, the cap could fail and the corrosive contents could splash on the user or a by-stander, causing serious eye injuries or skin burns. Young children may also be able to open the bottle and consume its contents, which are poisonous.
