Microphones manufactured after September 1, 2012 have a rubber-covered microphone boom and a yellow warning tag on the cable and are not covered by the recall. BNC microphones are not covered by this recall.
Why it was recalled
The microphone presents a potential low-voltage electric shock or burn hazard.
Hazard
Electric current may be conducted through water or moisture from exposed speaker wiring to the user (coxswain) and cause a low-voltage electric shock or burn from contact with the metal boom of the microphone.
