Why it was recalled

There is a risk that the cartridge holder may crack or break if exposed to certain cleaning agents.

Hazard

Using a cracked or broken insulin cartridge holder could result in the device delivering a smaller dose of insulin than expected, which can lead to serious health consequences including hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar).
