Studs for the tongue, lip, nose or ear without need for piercing. The studs are held in place by suction or by a magnetic back. Products sold in stand with several jewellery types. Products also sold separately as refills for stand. Why it was recalled

Tongue studs without holes are banned under Consumer Protection Notice No. 18 of 2010. Jewellery that contains small high powered magnets designed to be worn in or around the mouth and nose, are banned as detailed in Consumer Protection Notice No 5 of 2012.

Hazard

The jewellery poses an inhalation hazard. In addition, if a person swallows more than one small high powered magnet, the magnets can stick together across the walls of the person's intestine or other digestive tissue, which can lead to internal injuries and even death.
