The affected tyres have DOT 3L3T followed by the number (week and year) 3919 (inclusive) to 0520 (inclusive). Manufactured in Thailand between September 2019 and February 2020
Why it was recalled
A manufacturing change resulted in micro air bubbles forming in and between certain components in the shoulder of the tyre. This may lead to rapid pressure loss or reduced performance in the tyre.
Hazard
If there is rapid pressure loss or the tyre degrades this may lead to tyre failure, resulting in a loss of vehicle control. This may increase the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.
