Why it was recalled
Some products from the affected batch may contain a pathogenic organism, Staphylococcus aureus , commonly known as golden staph.
Hazard
Golden staph is commonly carried on the skin or in the nose of healthy people. However, particularly in children, the elderly or immuno-compromised people, it can cause infections. Health risks associated with this issue are varied, from no symptoms to skin infections, or, in the most severe cases, life-threatening infections such as pneumonia, meningitis or blood-stream infections.
