The Merida MTB Expert 35 handlebars are tapered alloy handlebars which are intended for off road mountain bike use, particularly All Mountain, Enduro and Freeride applications. Why it was recalled
The handlebars may bend and weaken after heavy landing from jumps and drop offs. Over time, the handlebars may break.
Hazard
If the defect occurs while the bicycle is in use there is a risk of serious injury or death to the user.
