Why it was recalled
There are two types of pulleys in the power-assisted steering pump. The pulley may be solid or have "windows" (spaces) in the pulleys. Only steering pumps with solid pulleys are affected by this recall. The solid pulley may contain contaminants, which can overheat during pulley use, potentially leading to a fire.
Hazard
An on-board fire could lead to serious injury and/or property damage.
