Open-face skull cap motorcycle helmet. The original recall (PRA2013/13558) has been expanded to include all sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) sold between September 2012 to May 2013. Identifying features description XR-205 Helmets are stamped with manufacture dates between July 2012 to January 2013
Why it was recalled
The helmets do not meet performance requirements that are outlined in the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS1698:2006.
Hazard
There is a possibility that the helmets may not provide adequate protection to the wearer in the event of an accident and may increase the risk of death or serious injury to the wearer.
