KitchenAid Electric Kettle - 1.7L stainless steel kettle with variable temperature control. Models: 5KEK1722AAC, 5KEK1722AER, 5KEK1722AOB, 5KEK1722ACU and 5KEK1722ASX. The affected models have serial numbers beginning with YA342XXXXX through to YA724XXXXX.
Why it was recalled
The handle on the kettle may become loose or separate from the body of the kettle.
Hazard
If the handle detaches during use, a consumer could be scalded or burned. The defect has occurred and caused injuries to consumers.
