Why it was recalled
In both models the plastic fuel elbow may crack during removal. In addition, the TE 310 MY13 model requires a fuel tank lift kit to be installed. The fuel tank lift kit will add more clearance between the fuel tap cross over pipe and the water pump cover top bolt in order to prevent rubbing, which may result in a fuel leak.
Hazard
Both defects may result in a fuel leak, which may pose a fire hazard to the driver and/or pose a hazard to other road users.
