Battery packs supplied with certain HP, Compaq, HP ProBook, HP Envy, HP Pavilion Notebook computers. Note: Not all HP notebook PCs listed above have an affected battery pack. Identifying features description The first characters of the unique number of a potentially affected battery will be: 6CGFQ, 6DEMA, 6CGFK, 6EBVA, 6CZMB, 6DEMH, 6BZLU or 6DGAL. The complete number will need to be verified by HP to determine if the battery is actually one that is affected.
Why it was recalled
The affected batteries have the potential to overheat.
Hazard
Risk of fire and burn hazard.
