The product does not meet the requirements of the mandatory standard 'Consumer Protection Notice No. 12 of 2008, Consumer Product Safety Standard for Vehicle Support Stands'. Some products in this range may have a faulty latch that is either loose or has not been cast correctly.
Hazard
The faulty latch can cause the ratchet jack stand to fall on to a person, resulting in serious injury or death.
