Bridgestone Duravis R660 Eco tyre supplied as original equipment to Ford Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom vans model year 2024 and 2025. The tyre has also been sold separately as replacement tyres and for use on other vehicles by Bridgestone, the Bridgestone network and other retailers.
Why it was recalled
The tyre may be more susceptible to cuts and partial penetrations when used in rugged and wet environments, which may lead to oxidisation of the tyre belt, tread separation and rapid air loss in the tyre. This may also present as a tyre bulge, tread deformation on the tread surface of the affected tyre.
Hazard
Risk of serious injury or death if the tread separates from the tyre, affecting the vehicle’s handling and increasing the risk of an accident.
