Why it was recalled

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Notice No.4 2006. In particular, the product does not have a ring or handle, the dummies are packaged with a strap (in error) and the packaging is not marked with the following statement: WARNING DO NOT TIE SOOTHER AROUND BABY'S NECK AS IT PRESENTS A STRANGULATION DANGER.

Hazard

The lack of a ring or handle on the dummy may pose a choking hazard to the child. In addition, a parent may not realise the danger posed by attaching a soother to the baby's neck.
