Published 7 September 2018

Product

Metal Bunk Bed

Why it was recalled

The product does not comply with the mandatory standard 'Trade Practices Act 1974 Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2003 Consumer Product Safety Standard: Bunk Beds'. The bunk beds do not meet the standard requirements for allowable protrusions, gaps between bars in the side and end guardrails and the required labelling advising the Australian distributor's name, address and the country of origin.

Hazard

The protrusions could snag the clothing of the user, causing injury and the gaps between the bars of the guardrails may pose an entrapment hazard.
