The affected models may have been manufactured with an improperly routed fuel tank vent line. The vent line may not have sufficient clearance to the exhaust head pipe and can cause the vent line to become kinked. A kinked vent line may results in a build up of pressure in the fuel tank.
In the event of an engine misfire, on a Model year 2015-2016 RZR XP 1000 / XP 4 1000 units, unburned fuel can be routed into the exhaust system. This can lead to excessive exhaust heat.
Affected models have been manufactured with a regulator that does not meet Polaris quality standards.

Vehicles built before 9 March 2015 were manufactured with improperly molded fuel pump retainer nuts.
The affected VIN range has been expanded and some faulty shafts may have been missed. Some of the Steering Shafts fitted to these models may have been damaged during the manufacturing process, causing a slight bending and possible cracking of the shaft. Please note this campaign has been reported previously, and some units may have already been inspected.
The throttle cable is located too close to the vehicles exhaust.
During the assembly process, some slight bending of the steering shaft may have occurred, causing microscopic cracks to appear. If left unchecked, this may result in breaking of the shaft during normal use.
Due to an improper assembly of the steering column to the rack and pinion, the steering column lower splines may fail.
Insufficient weld strength of both the right and left hand front upper suspension arm may result in failure of the weld.
When the vehicle is driven through water (minimum of 310 mm, 12 inches deep) containing a significant quantity of floating debris such as grass, hay and leaves, debris may accumulate in a short period of time in the exhaust area.
The rear brake caliper carrier support may crack and / or the front brake master cylinder plunger (piston) may not return properly. This could result in loss of rear brake or front brake function.
