Cannondale and GT Bicycles with Front-Wheel Quick-Releases and Disc Brakes

Some Cannondale and GT Bicycles manufactured between the years of 1998 and 2015 may be affected the front quick release skewer striking the disc rotar on the front wheel of the bike. Identifying features description Bicycles equipped with front-wheel quick-release and DISC BRAKES are potentially affected.

Why it was recalled

A front quick-release cam lever that has a clearance of less than 6 millimetres and is improperly adjusted or left open while riding may come in contact with the front disc brake rotor.

Hazard

If the quick release lever contacts the front disc brake rotor, this may cause the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.
