Why it was recalled
The voltage regulator in affected Kawasaki general purpose engines, installed in select Bushranger Spartan lawn mowers, can malfunction. The affected mowers can catch fire at any time, even if the engine is off or not in use.
Hazard
There is risk of serious injury, death and/or damage to property if the voltage regulator catches fire.
