This recall was updated on 8 May 2026 to change the supplier from Hisense Ltd to Hisense Ltd (Israel). Parent unit viewing screen for the Babysense MaxView video baby monitor (5.5” Split Screen Full HD 1080P). Serial number identification: Identify the serial number (S/N) printed on the back (beginning with ‘MVRX’ followed by further digits). Serial Numbers beginning with MVP are not part of this recall.   Model number identification: Identify the model number on the back. It should read VBM55RX. If your model number includes a letter “N” (VBMN55RX) it is NOT a part of this recall. Why it was recalled

The lithium-ion battery in the parent unit viewing screen may overheat during charging, which could result in the battery swelling, melting, emitting smoke, or sparking and become a fire hazard.

Hazard

Risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage from fire if the battery overheats during charging and starts a fire. Incidents have occurred overseas.
