Why it was recalled
The garments do not comply with the mandatory standard for children's sleepwear and limited daywear, AS/NZS 1249:2003 (as amended by regulation) because the "LOW FIRE DANGER" label on the garments was attached to an inner side seam rather than at the neck where it would have been visible from the outside. In addition, the packaging of some of the garments obscured the "LOW FIRE DANGER" label, contrary to the requirements of the mandatory standard.
Hazard
Parents or carers may not see the "LOW FIRE DANGER" label and may be unaware of the fire danger rating for these garments.
