Product

Four products are being recalled: • Marinated Feta in 250gm packs with best before dates of 6/9/13 to 13/9/13 • Feta and Chile in 250gm packs with best before dates of 6/9/13 to 13/9/13 • Feta Vacuum packed in 220 gm packs with best before dates of 15/4/13 to 15/5/13 • Feta 500gm in brine in a bucket with best before dates of 15/4/13 to 15/5/13. Identifying features description Each product has the batch number 13049 printed on the pack. The product was first available for sale on the 15th March 2013.

Why it was recalled

The recall is due to microbial (E. coli) contamination.

Hazard

Foods contaminated with E. coli may cause illness if consumed. Symptoms can be bloody diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Often there is little or no fever or vomiting.
