Portable car ramps used for raising the front of a vehicle off the ground, to assist with vehicle maintenance or access. The product was available for sale between March 2018 and December 2018.
Why it was recalled
The product does not comply with the requirements of mandatory standard 'Consumer Goods (Portable Ramps for Vehicles) Safety Standard 2017'. The ramp may deform significantly when overloaded.
Hazard
As the ramps are used for raising the front of a vehicle off the ground, there is potential for a crushing hazard if the ramp is misused (excessively overloading) while a person is underneath the vehicle. This may result in serious injury or death. The designated load limit of each ramp is 1000kg. When the ramp is overloaded for more than 1950kg, it may deform significantly.
